Was Mark Twain a racist?

This
is a case for.

This
is a case against.

And here's
the man himself.

The truth is rarely simple.

Found poetry: the strange cold truth of European Patent EP1724234 and the "somebody" in the year 2008

A chap in Monaghan has filed a patent which includes the following:

"When a store manager or owner

Wishes to take all the goods from one shelf

And place it on another shelf,

While in turn taking the goods from the second shelf

And placing them on the first shelf,

Somebody from the staff

Has to manually take all the goods from the first shelf

To clear the shelf,

Then take the goods from the second shelf

And place these goods on the first shelf,

And then take the goods that were removed from the first shelf

And put it on the second shelf."

Autumn Paranoia

The wind in the leaves
Makes creepy crispy whispers
The sound of the dead.

Democrat Convention 2008: a missed opportunity to sway the floating Jewish/Cuban voter

Why did they not have Barry Manilow singing "His name is Barack, Barack Obama"?

Ryan Tubridy
Is not my cup of tea.

Thought for the day

"There is definitely no European Union legislation that requires cows to sleep on mattresses."

- Reijo Kemppinen, Head of Representation, European Commission, letter to the Daily Star, 1/1/06

Possibly the most boring newspaper story ever

There is a tribe
In a distant land
Which has never heard of numbers.

Read all about it here.

Summary of the world in haiku format

As summer ends
Boggle's blog is born
Sterling falls against the dollar.

Jesus, I didn't think this blog would be that influential. I must tread carefully.

Greetings and salutations

This is my first post.

Good, isn't it?
